DNS security
Register.com Private Domain Registration
This video looks at domain name system or DNS, and DNS security, what it means and how it may help you secure your organization further.
DNS security extensions or DNS-SEC allows an organization to authenticate DNS information it publishes for retrieval by Internet users worldwide. When users type in a web address, bt.com for example, their web browser looks up the web address in DNS in order to identify its corresponding IP address for connection over the Internet.
DNS-SEC defends against intercept type of attacks where an attacker “impersonates” your DNS server and supplies a malicious response to users in order to redirect them to an imposter website.
This can be done for the purposes of collecting user information or misrepresenting your website. You can protect yourself against this type of attack by implementing DNS-SEC to digitally sign your DNS data. Internet users can query your DNS data and also receive the corresponding signature and public key information in order to authenticate the data and to reject non- or mistakenly signed malicious data.

DNS-SEC solutions are available to help you automate the complex process of implementing and maintaining the security of your DNS information. Check for DNSChanger Trojan BEFORE March 7, 2012- FBI “fix” unplug date-Please share!
FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY:
“Companies and home users whose computers or routers are infected by the DNSChanger Trojan risk being unable to access the Web come March 8, 2012, when the FBI unplugs the legitimate DNS servers it set up to replace the rogue DNS servers that were forwarding victims to malicious sites. The removal of the fed’s band aid could impact a substantial number of users, too, as half of Fortune 500 companies and government agencies are infected with the malware, according to a new report.” (Quote from the source article listed below:)

(Note: Good PC security software should already have caught this, but if you don’t have it, get it. “Malwarebytes” had a free scan available at one time, not sure if it is still available or free)

What is the Dns code for Shadow Lugia for Pokemon White or Platinum?
What is the Dns code for Shadow Lugia for Pokemon White or Platinum. If there isn’t, can anyone please use a pokemon generator to make a lv 100 Shadow Lugia with Roar of Time, Special Rend, Shadow force and Judgment.
I’m afraid you cannot obtain Shadow Lugia on any other game apart from Pokemon XD: Gale Of Darkness, and when you do you cannot trade it across without purifying it first.
And as for the Pokegen request I don’t make unobtainable Pokemon as it’s cheating I’m afraid, hope I helped!
DNS Server configuration.?
need a little bit more information. what are you setting up?
Dns server not responding? tried EVERYTHING nothing works!?
All the lights on my modem are on except that the internet light is red. I looked up the dns issue and found several solutions, none of which worked for me. I manually changed the dns server to public ones and still nothing. I flushed and renewed the dns on the command prompt. Nothing. I finally called att and they told be they could help because I wasn’t using the original modem they gave me, which is crazy amounts of bs! Can anyone help please? Im about to rip my hair out!
Most routers negotiate the DNS from the ISP and computers within the home then query the router as a DNS server – it then forwards on the request to the ISP assigned DNS servers.
In a DOS window run:
nslookup
> server 8.8.8.8
> yahoo.com
You should get a response like:
Server:8.8.8.8
Address:8.8.8.8#53
Non-authoritative answer:
Name:yahoo.com
Address: 72.30.2.43
Name:yahoo.com
Address: 98.137.149.56
Name:yahoo.com
Address: 98.139.180.149
Name:yahoo.com
Address: 209.191.122.70
The 8.8.8.8 is a Google owned DNS server accessible to anyone, and the test will override your router’s DNS by looking directly at the Google DNS. If this works then the ISP / Router is at fault, so either modify your computers to use 8.8.8.8 for DNS (8.8.4.4 is the secondary IP) or configure your router to use it instead of the ISP DNS values.
